身体健康  pronounced “ sun tai gin hong” in Cantonese and “shēn tǐ jiàn kāng” in mandarin. This phrase is meant to wish you good health.

心想事成  pronounced “sum sheung si sing” in Cantonese and “xīn xiǎng shì chéng” in mandarin. This phrase means may all your wishes come true.

This year the official day is January 22, 2023 and is the year of the Rabbit as per the Chinese zodiac sign.

Technically, we celebrate one week before and one week after this day, with every day in the two-week period having a special meaning or purpose. Every family will have differing ways to celebrate each day via various customs, traditions, and beliefs that is usually centered around “out with the old and in with the new”, as it relates to health, work, family, children, education, wealth, fortune, etc.

So from our families to yours, may the year of the Rabbit bring you good health, lots of wealth, and prosperity.

In solidarity,

Warren Williams
