We would like to take this opportunity to communicate with you regularly regarding the very fluid situation of your return to campus. In addition, we will also be sharing information as a result of our discussions with the employer as we navigate through this situation.
We are sure many of you are aware of the announcement this morning from the university’s President, Gillian Siddall announcing the university’s intent to bring forth a vaccination policy and testing measures. We would also like to let you know that prior to this announcement we had requested a meeting with Human Resources to discuss the University’s plan for reopening. That meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 30th.
There are many questions and details to be worked out, but we will ensure to keep you up to date as quickly as possible. Current information we are working with is what we have heard through the Provincial Health Officer, but the mechanics of how things will roll out are still a work in progress. There is also a CUPE Post-Secondary Presidents meeting scheduled for September 2nd, and we will be sure to share what information may flow from that meeting with you as well.
