June 1st is Injured Workers Day, a day that injured workers, their families, friends, unions & other progressive groups gather across Canada to call for urgently-needed changes to workers’ compensation programs.  This year, we are doing just that. We are ramping up our campaign to reform BC’s Workers Compensation Board – so that no workers are left behind.  All injured workers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and together we can push to make this the reality. Today we premiered a powerful new video. It draws from the real stories of injured workers themselves to make a moving, compelling case for urgent reforms to workers’ compensation. But that’s what makes it so important that we press the BC government to do everything they can to make the WCB truly worker-centred and leave no worker behind. And the more people who see and hear our message, the more voices that’ll speak out for action. So please watch the video and most importantly please share it, and then sign our petition. Together, we can fight to build a WCB that leaves no workers behind.

Sincerely, Rohini (Reah) Arora
Director of Organizing and Campaigns , BC Federation of Labour

P.S. — And please, invite your friends, family and coworkers to take action now. We want as many people as possible to see our video and to help spread the word.
