Dear Friends,

As you may know, the BC government launched its Draft Action Plan on the BC Declaration Act recently. The draft plan is in a consultation phase right now, and feedback is specifically being sought from Indigenous community members and organizations in BC.

Please forward this message to Indigenous members and their families in your networks.

It would not be appropriate for the BCFED to comment on the draft action plan itself. We do hope, however, that Indigenous workers in BC and their families will read the plan and provide feedback directly to government

If you identify as an Indigenous, Inuit or Metis person and live in BC, your input is needed on the Draft Action Plan of the BC Declaration Act!

You can read the draft plan here:https://engage.gov.bc.ca/app/uploads/sites/667/2021/06/Declaration_Act_-_Draft_Action_Plan_for_consultation.pdf.

Once you have read the plan, have your say here: https://feedback.engage.gov.bc.ca/266845?lang=en.

Your voice matters, and is a critical part of shaping how this province moves forward in paving the path toward reconciliation.

In solidarity,
