Greetings City et al (City of Vancouver, Park Board, Ray-Cam, and Britannia) Members:
The Bargaining Committee writes to advise our Members that on Friday, January 24, 2025, the Common Employer (City of Vancouver, Park Board, Ray-Cam, and Britannia) served Notice to Bargain per S. 45 of the BC Labour Relations Code. By law, this requires your Bargaining Committee to meet with the employer within 10 days of such notice as per Part 4 S. 47 of the Code.
In response, we have arranged a meeting with the employer on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 to discuss preliminary issues.
Please stay tuned as there will be important announcements in the coming weeks regarding ratification of proposals to present to the employer.
Additionally, this is a friendly reminder to fill out the bargaining survey prior to January 31, 2025 if you have not already done so. The survey link can be found in the emails that we have sent to your personal email or the postcard that was mailed to your home address. If you know of any CUPE Local 15 City et al members who have not received the survey directly from CUPE Local 15, please have them contact us directly at email@cupe15.org or (604) 879-4671. Again, we ask that you encourage your colleagues to fill out the survey, but please DO NOT forward the link or share it on any social media, as this would compromise the integrity of the survey.
In solidarity,
The City et al Bargaining Committee:
