Greetings K-12 Members:
Following the conclusion of each round of negotiations, our Vancouver School Board/CUPE Local 15 members will be required to decide if they wish to continue to be covered under the current VSB/CUPE Local 15 Benefit Plan or join the Provincial Benefit Plan.
It is important for members to know the details of their current plan and the differences between the two before making their decision. For that reason, we will be conducting an information/voting meeting on the date below in order for members to see the comparisons between the two plans in order to make an informed decision before casting your ballot.
Your bargaining committee is recommending you support the VSB/CUPE Local 15 Benefit Plan as it is superior to the Provincial Benefit Plan in many areas.
Meeting and Vote Details:
When: Thursday, May 25, 2023
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Location: Virtual via Zoom
If you do not receive the Zoom invitation in the mail or email, please contact the union office by calling 604-879-4671 or via email to email@cupe15.org as soon as possible to update your personal information and request that the invite be sent to you.
You will need to complete the registration including your first and last name, otherwise your membership cannot be confirmed for voting purposes. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Please do not share your link with fellow members. If they did not receive the invitation and would like to attend the meeting, please ask them to contact the union office and provide us with their contact information directly. Once this is done, an invitation will be sent to them and they can register to receive their own link. This is important to facilitate accurate attendance records.
